DRIVERS LICENSE SUSPENSION ATTORNEY - TERRELL, TX

TERRELL DL SUSPENSION ATTORNEY

Has the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) mailed you a Notice of Suspension? If so, it may be for a number of reasons. These reasons can include too many Terrell traffic violations on your driving record, driving without car insurance, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and even medical reasons. Because the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno has been defending against DL suspension in Terrell for more than 20 years, consider getting in touch with our law firm as soon as you receive a DL suspension notice from DPS. If you respond to the notice within the time frame allotted to you, a DL suspension hearing may be granted to you, and our attorneys may be able to dispute your DL suspension in the Kaufman County Justice Court. Even if your driver's license has already been suspended, we may be able to apply for an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) on your behalf, so that you do not have to go without a driver's license. For more information, please give us a call or complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.

Terrell DL Suspension  Suspension Hearing

Be aware that you will only have 20 calendar days to respond to a Notice of Suspension issued to you by the Department of Public Safety if your driver's license has been set aside for imminent suspension. No matter the reason behind the suspension of your driver's license, which can include serious Terrell traffic convictions such as drunk driving (DWI), you may choose to request a DL suspension hearing with the Kaufman County Justice Court. Jack Byno & Associates may also be contacted during this time to defend you at your scheduled hearing, if one is granted to you. If hired to defend you during your Terrell DL Suspension Hearing, our lawyers may attempt to get your DL suspension overturned, but in the case that your DL has already been suspended, we may be able to seek a temporary driver's license (ODL) on your behalf. You may request a copy of your Texas Driving Record if you are not sure why your DL has been designated for suspension in the first place.

ODL for Terrell DL Suspension

If your driver's license has been suspended because of habitual traffic violations previously committed in the City of Terrell, or for other reasons including No Insurance convictions, medical revocation or drunk driving, you may benefit from an Occupational Driver's License (ODL). An ODL is sometimes called an Essential Need License and would allow you to drive temporarily to school, work and other locations you cannot do without.

If you believe that you would benefit from an Occupational Driver's License while your regular license is suspended, our law firm may be able to apply for an ODL on your behalf. If you provide us with your driver's license number, a copy of your Texas Driving Record, proof that you hold car insurance, and any other information we may need to seek you an ODL, one may be granted to you for the duration of your Terrell DL suspension. You must carefully follow any driving restrictions, such as when and where you may drive to, that may come with your temporary license, lest you be found guilty of Driving While License Invalid (DWLI). If you are charged with DWLI, you may be arrested, suffer further DL suspension or be obliged to pay court fines.
