There may be a number of possible reasons for the imminent suspension of your driver's license. These reasons can include habitual Southlake traffic violations, causing a wreck while driving without car insurance, being deemed medically unfit to drive by a doctor, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and failing to pay any State Surcharges that resulted from a DWI conviction. Has your driver's license been designated for suspension for one of the above reasons? If so, and you are mailed a Notice of Suspension by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), it may be in your best interest to get in touch with the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. We know what it takes to defend against DL suspension in the City of Southlake, and have been doing so for over 20 years. Even in the case that your driver's license has already been suspended, we may be able to seek you a temporary driver's license. More additional information, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.
Keep in mind that if driver's license suspension is in your immediate future, you will before notified in advance by the Department of Public Safety. If DPS has mailed you a Notice of Suspension, you will be allotted only 20 days to respond and request a DL suspension hearing. If granted to you by DPS, a Southlake DL suspension hearing will take place in the Tarrant County Justice of the Peace Court. Jack Byno & Associates may be hired during these 20 days as well, if you believe that you would benefit from legal representation provided by our DL defense attorneys. If retained to defend you in court, we may be able to get your DL suspension overruled. We may also be retained to seek you a temporary, Occupational Driver's License in the case that your regular license has already been suspended.
No matter whether Texas DPS has designated your driver's license for suspension over habitual Southlake traffic violations on your driving record, failure to pay State Surcharges following a DWI conviction, or at the behest of a medical professional, you may now be struggling to get by without a legal way to drive. At the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, we understand that the DFW area does not offer an exceptional amount of options when it comes to public transportation, and that the best way to get to where you need to be is generally by car. Therefore, we may be able to obtain you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL). An ODL is a temporary driver's license (oftentimes referred to as an Essential Need License) that, if granted to you while your regular DL is suspended, would allow you to drive legally.
If you believe that you may benefit from an Occupational DL for the duration of your Southlake DL suspension, why not consider hiring Jack Byno & Associates to seek an ODL on your behalf? If we are able to apply for an Essential Need License on your behalf, we may ask you for certain information beforehand. Information we may ask of you can include your DL number, proof that your hold valid auto insurance, and a copy of your driving record. In order to avoid a Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) charge, which can result in an extended DL suspension, we would ask that you follow any and all driving restrictions that may come with your ODL. These restrictions commonly include where you may drive to, and when.
Driver's license suspension is a serious development for any motorist, as it means that you are no longer permitted to drive yourself to work, school and other places you cannot afford to do without. Fortunately, the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno has been disputing Southlake DL suspension in the Tarrant County Justice Court since 1994. If you have received a Notice of Suspension from DPS, and have decided to request a DL suspension hearing, our law firm may be retained to represent you. We may also be retained to seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) if your DL has already been suspended, or to further explain your legal options to you via a scheduled consultation. If you would like more information on Southlake DL Suspension, ODLs, suspension notices or DL suspension hearings, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form or speak with a representative at 817-685-0912.
