Habitual Seven Points traffic violations, overdue speeding tickets, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) convictions, physician suggestion and No Insurance convictions are just a few of the reasons your driver's license may be suspended. You will be informed beforehand if your DL has been designated for suspension, as the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) will mail you a Notice of Suspension. During the time allotted to you to respond to this DL suspension notice, also consider retaining the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. Because we have been in business since 1994, we know what it takes to challenge Seven Points DL suspension in the Henderson County Justice Court, and may be able to do the same for you at your scheduled DL suspension hearing. If you would like more information, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.
The Department of Public Safety will mail you a Notice of Suspension if your driver's license is in danger of being suspended over Seven Points traffic violations on your driving record. Once you have received your DL suspension notice, you will have 20 calendar days to respond before your driver's license is actually suspended. If you have decided to request a Seven Points DL suspension hearing with Texas DPS, and are granted one, keep in mind that Jack Byno & Associates may be hired to defend you in the Henderson County Justice of the Peace Court, where your hearing will be held. There is a good chance that you will not even have to appear in court with us.
If your driver's license has already been suspended because you did not respond to a DPS-issued Notice of Suspension before the date specified, do not feel as if you are out of options. Jack Byno & Associates may be able to obtain you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) which, if granted to you, would serve as a temporary license while your regular DL is suspended. An ODL is sometimes referred to as an Essential Need License, and would permit you to drive legally to work, school and other places essential to daily life.
While our law office is prepared to seek an ODL on your behalf, now that you are suffering the consequences of a Seven Points DL suspension, be aware that we will require certain information from you beforehand. This required information will include proof that you hold valid auto insurance, a copy of your driving record and your driver's license number. If we are successful in our attempts to seek you an Essential Need License, you must make sure to closely follow any driving restrictions that come with your ODL. These restrictions may include a limited number of places you are allowed access to, and certain times of the day during which you may drive. Failure to follow these driving restrictions can result in a Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) charge. Penalties for DWLI may include an even longer Seven Points DL suspension, high court fines and even arrest.
The Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno is dedicated to each of its clients and seeing them through to the best possible outcomes for their particular cases. So if you are worried that your driver's license will soon be suspended because of traffic offenses committed in Seven Points, Texas, whether they be minor such as habitual violations, or major, such as DWI, why not call our law firm today and see if we can't help you? We may be able to defend against your looming DL suspension at your scheduled DL suspension hearing, or seek an Occupational Driver's License on your behalf if your regular license has already been suspended.
