Do you have too many Roanoke traffic violations on your driving record? If so, or if you have serious convictions on your driving record, such as DWI, your driver's license may be suspended. You may also be up against Roanoke DL suspension if you are deemed medically unfit to drive by a doctor, and that doctor notifies the Texas Department of Public Safety. No matter the reason behind your DL suspension, if the Department of Public Safety (DPS) mails you a DL Suspension Notice, you will have a certain number of days to respond and request a DL suspension hearing. Jack Byno & Associates have been defending clients against Roanoke DL suspension for over 20 years, and may be able to do the same for you. For more information, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.
Keep in mind that once you receive a Notice of Suspension in the mail from DPS, you will have only 20 days to request a Roanoke DL Suspension Hearing with the Denton County Justice of the Peace Court. During these 20 days, consider getting in touch with the DL suspension lawyers at the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. We have been practicing Texas traffic law for more than 20 years and have previously defended clients up against DL suspension in court. Even if you were not able to request a hearing during the time frame allotted to you, and your driver's license has already been suspended, our law office may still be able to seek an ODL on your behalf. We may also review your driving record for you if you are unsure why you have been mailed a DL suspension notice in the first place.
Our law firm may be able to apply for a temporary driver's license on your behalf if your regular license has been suspended because of traffic offenses committed in Roanoke, or for reasons including No Insurance convictions. This temporary driver's license is referred to as an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) and is also known as an Essential Need License. An ODL, if granted to you, would allow you legal transportation to work, school and other places you need access to, for the duration of your DL suspension.
You may want Jack Byno & Associates to seek an Occupational Driver's License on your behalf if you are having a hard time making do because of your Roanoke DL Suspension. In order for our law firm to seek an ODL on your behalf, we would first require certain information from you, such as a copy of your driving record, proof that you hold car insurance, and your driver's license number. Because we have over 20 years of experience applying for and obtaining ODLs for clients with DL suspension, we may be able to acquire you an ODL as well. ODLs come with certain driving restrictions, such as certain places you are allowed to drive yourself to and from, which you must be careful to follow at all times. If you get behind the wheel with your ODL and are caught breaking your driving restrictions, you may be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI). Consequences of DWLI can include arrest, court fines and even prolonged DL suspension.
If you are afraid that your driver's license will soon be suspended because of pending traffic-related violations, or because you have received a DL suspension notice in the mail, do not panic. Get in touch with Attorney Jack Byno and his colleagues, who have a long history of disputing Roanoke DL suspension in the Denton County JP Court and seeking ODLs on behalf of clients.
