Were you previously convicted of a serious traffic violation in the City of Mansfield, Texas? In response to severe traffic offenses, such as drunk driving (DWI), habitual violations and accidents caused by irresponsible driving behavior, the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) may choose to suspend your driver's license. If DPS mails you a Notice of Suspension, you will have only 20 calendar days to request a DL suspension hearing and to retain legal representation from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. Since 1994, we have defended against DL suspension on behalf of our clients in the Tarrant County Justice of the Peace Court, and have sought temporary driver's licenses (ODLs) for clients whose licenses have already been suspended. If you would like to learn more about Mansfield DL suspension, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form.
If your driver's license has been scheduled for suspension by the Department of Public Safety, you will be mailed a Notice of Suspension 20 days beforehand. During these 20 days allotted to you to respond, you will have the option of requesting a DL suspension hearing with DPS, and hiring Jack Byno and Associates for legal defense. In the case that you respond to a Mansfield DL suspension notice in time and are granted a DL suspension hearing by DPS, our DL defense attorneys would then do their best to see that your looming Mansfield DL suspension is overruled in the Tarrant County Justice Courts. In the case that your DL is already suspended, we may be retained to seek you an Occupational DL.
Even if the cause behind your Mansfield DL suspension is a serious traffic offense, such as Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), or a more unpredictable cause, such as at the suggestion of a physician, Jack Byno & Associates may be able to apply for, on your behalf, a temporary driver's license known as an Occupational DL. An ODL is occasionally known as an Essential Need License, and would make your DL suspension easier to bear by allowing you to drive temporarily to the store, your place of employment and other locations you require transportation to.
Would you like for us to seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) for use during your Mansfield DL suspension? If we are hired to apply for an ODL on your behalf, be prepared to provide us with a copy of your Texas Driving Record, proof that you hold valid car insurance, your driver's license number and any other information we made otherwise need beforehand. If an Occupational Driver's License is granted to you, you must remember at all times that it is a privilege that comes with certain driving restrictions. Common ODL restrictions include when and where you may drive, and if you are caught breaking these restrictions, you may be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI), which itself can result in arrest, a longer Mansfield DL suspension and costly court fines.
Do not waste time worrying upon receiving a Notice of Suspension from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). Instead, seek counsel from Jack Byno & Associates, who have over 20 years of experience defending against Mansfield DL suspension in the Tarrant County JP Court. While we may be hired to defend against the suspension of your driver's license at a DL suspension hearing granted for you, we may also be able to help you obtain an Occupational DL in the case that your regular driver's license has already been suspended. Would you like more information on Occupational Driver's Licenses, DPS-issued Notices of Suspension, DL suspension hearings, or Mansfield DL suspension in general? Please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form or give us a call at 817-685-0912.
