There is a chance that your driver's license will soon be suspended if you have habitual Malakoff traffic violations on your driving record, have been convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), or have failed to pay any resulting State Surcharges. Your driver's license may even be suspended for more unexpected reasons, such as doctor recommendation. If the Department of Public Safety has mailed you a Notice of Suspension, you will have a limited number of days to respond before your driver's license is suspended. Consider using this time allotted to you to retain the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. We have been disputing Malakoff DL suspension in the Henderson County Justice of the Peace Court for over 20 years, and may be of service to you even if your driver's license has already been suspended. For more information, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form.
If your driver's license has been designated for suspension, you will be informed of this by Texas DPS, which will mail you a Notice of Suspension 20 days prior to the actual suspension of your driver's license. During these 20 days, you will have time to request a Malakoff DL suspension hearing with the Department of Public Safety. Jack Byno & Associates may also be retained to defend against the suspension of your driver's license at your scheduled Malakoff hearing, which, if granted to you, will be held in the Henderson County JP Court. Depending on your particular case, you may not even have to appear at your hearing with us.
Perhaps you did not respond in time to a Notice of Suspension mailed to you by the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS), and now your driver's license has been suspended. If so, there may still be a chance for you to stay behind the wheel legally. At the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, we have been seeking and acquiring Occupational Driver's Licenses (ODLs) for Malakoff clients since 1994. Held as a temporary driver's license and sometimes referred to as an Essential Need License, an ODL would allow to drive legally to the locations you cannot do without, for the duration of your Malakoff DL suspension.
Before Jack Byno & Associates can seek you an ODL, we may first ask you to provide us with your driver's license number, a copy of your Texas Driving Record, proof that you hold valid auto insurance, and other information. If an Occupational Driver's License is granted to you, you must be especially careful to follow any and all driving restrictions that may come with it. These restrictions may include when and where you are allowed to drive. It would be in your best interest to abide by these rules at all times, as you could be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) if they are broken. DWLI can result in arrest, an extended Malakoff DL suspension and high court fines.
Jack Byno & Associates have been defending against DL suspension in the City of Malakoff for more than 20 years. If retained to dispute the suspension of your driver's license, rest assured that we will do our best to get your Malakoff DL suspension overturned at your scheduled DL suspension hearing. In the instance that your driver's license has already been suspended for minor or major traffic offenses, spanning from habitual violations to DWI, keep in mind that our law firm may still be able to obtain you an Occupational Driver's License. Would you like more information on temporary driver's licenses, DL suspension notices and hearings, or driver's license suspension in general? Please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form or give our law office a call at 817-685-0912.
