Driver's license suspension may be in your near future if you have serious Lake Worth traffic convictions, such as Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or habitual speeding violations, on your driving record. Your driver's license may also be suspended for reasons that are out of your control, such as physician recommendation. You will be informed in advance if your driver's license has been designated for suspension, because the Department of Public Safety (DPS) will mail you a Notice of Suspension. This notice will allow you a specific amount of time to respond and request a DL suspension hearing with DPS. If a hearing is granted to you, you may also seek legal representation from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. We have been in practice for over 20 years and know what it takes to defend DL suspension in the Tarrant County Justice of the Peace Court. If you would like additional information on how our law firm may be able to defend against your Lake Worth DL suspension, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.
Are you concerned that your driver's license has been designated for suspension? The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) will mail you a Notice of Suspension if your DL is in danger of being suspended over traffic offenses previously committed in the City of Lake Worth. If you receive a Lake Worth DL suspension notice in the mail, you will have only 20 calendar days to get in touch with DPS and request a DL suspension hearing. If granted to you, a hearing would allow you to formerly challenge the suspension of your driver's license in the Tarrant County JP Court, and to hire the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno to challenge it for you. Has your driver's license already been suspended? Our law firm may still be able to seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL), which would serve as a temporary driver's license while your regular DL is suspended.
No matter the reasons behind the suspension of your driver's license, which can range from habitual Lake Worth traffic violations to more serious crimes, such as Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), you may now be struggling to do without your DL. At the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, we understand that you still require access to school, work, the doctor's office and other places you cannot do without on a daily basis, even if your driver's license has been suspended. Therefore, we may be able to seek you a temporary DL known as an Occupational Driver's License (ODL). Sometimes referred to an Essential Need License, an ODL could be used for the duration of your DL suspension, if granted to you.
Be aware that you may be required to provide us with certain information before we are able to seek an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) on your behalf. Information we may ask you to provide may include your DL number, a copy of your Texas Driving Record and proof that you hold auto insurance. If we are able to apply you for an Essential Need License and one is granted to you, you must be sure to follow any driving restrictions that may come with it. These restrictions may include the locations you are allowed to drive to, and the times of day during which you may drive. Failure to follow them can lead to a Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) charge, which in turn may lead to severe repercussions, including incarceration, extended Lake Worth DL suspension and court fines.
If your driver's license has been suspended, or if you have been made aware that it soon will be, contact the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. Because we have been defending against Lake Worth DL suspension in the Tarrant County JP Courts for more than 20 years, there is a good chance that we will be able to defend against the suspension of your driver's license as well. Even in the case that you have not been requested a DL suspension hearing, or if you have lost a hearing granted to you, our law firm may still be able to obtain you an Occupational Driver's License. For more information on Lake Worth DL suspension, ODLs, DL suspension notices or hearings, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form or call the law office at 817-685-0912.
