Be aware that if your driver's license is in danger of being suspended as a result of pending Irving traffic charges, you will be advised of this by the Texas Department of Public Safety via mailed letter. Be aware that your driver's license will be suspended if you do not respond to your Notice of Suspension with the time span of 20 calendar days. During this time you may request legal defense from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, who will then be able to notify DPS that you have hired an attorney to dispute your Irving DL suspension. Then, during your scheduled Irving DL Suspension Hearing, we can try to the best of our ability to fight the suspension of your driver's license and help you stay behind the wheel. We may also request to see your record before fighting your case in court.
Even if your driver's license has been suspended due to traffic convictions or other offenses originally taking place in Irving, Texas, there may still be a way for you to drive legally. At the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, we understand more than anyone that you still depend upon transportation to essential locations such as school and work. Therefore, we may be able to obtain you an Occupational Driver's License. An ODL is sometimes referred to as an Essential Need License and may be used while your regular license is suspended.
If you would like for our law firm to seek you an Occupational Driver's License, information we would need from you beforehand may include your driver's license number, proof of auto insurance and a copy of your Texas Driving Record. Holding an ODL comes with special responsibilities. These include following any and all ODL driving restrictions, such as driving only during specified hours of the day. Failing to abide by these restrictions can lead to Driving While License Invalid (DWLI), which is an offense that carried hefty penalties, including an extended Irving DL suspension, arrest and court fines.
Do not waste time worrying needlessly over your Irving driver's license suspension. Get in touch with the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. Our DL defense lawyers have experience fighting Irving DL suspension in the Justice of the Peace Court, and successfully acquiring Occupational Driver's Licenses (ODL) for motorists whose regular licenses have already been suspended.
