The Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) will mail you a Notice of Suspension if your driver's license is in danger of being suspended. If you have been mailed a DL suspension notice, whether because of habitual Hurst traffic violations, DWI convictions on your driving record, unpaid State Surcharges, or even for medical reasons, consider seeking legal representation from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. Our DL defense attorneys may be able to defend against the suspension of your DL if you respond to your Notice of Suspension in due time and are granted a DL suspension hearing. Or, in the case that your driver's license has already been suspended, our law firm may be able to seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL), also known as an Essential Need License. For more information on Hurst DL suspension, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form.
A Notice of Suspension will be sent to you through the mail by DPS if a traffic offense you previously committed in the City of Hurst, such as Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), justifies DL suspension. You will have only 20 calendar days to request a driver's license suspension hearing with the Department of Public Safety if you wish to dispute your looming DL suspension. You may also use this time to retain Jack Byno & Associates. Since 1994 we have challenged Hurst DL suspension on behalf of clients in the Tarrant County Justice Court, and may be hired to do the same for you. Has your driver's license already been suspended? We may still be able to help you stay behind the wheel. We may be able to seek you an Essential Need License, which is a temporary DL often referred to as an Occupational Driver's License (ODL). ODLs may be held by drivers who are unable to drive legally due to DL suspension.
If your driver's license has been suspended as a result of habitual traffic violations committed in Hurst, Texas, or for other reasons including DWI charges or unpaid State Surcharges, our law office may be able to seek you a temporary, Occupational DL. If you believe that you would benefit from an ODL (Essential Need License) while your regular driver's license is suspended, why not see if Jack Byno & Associates can apply for one on your behalf? If granted to you, an Occupational Driver's License would permit to drive legally to work, the grocery store, school and other places you require daily access to.
Before our law firm can seek an ODL on your behalf, however, we may first ask you to provide us with certain information, such as your DL number, proof that you hold valid car insurance, and a copy of your driving record. It would of course be our goal to obtain you an ODL for the duration of your Hurst DL suspension, but in the case that you are granted a temporary driver's license, you must be sure to abide by any driving restrictions that come with it. Common ODL restrictions include where and when you are allowed to drive, and you could be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) if you fail to abide by these restrictions at any time. Prolonged DL suspension, expensive court fines and sometimes even arrest can follow DWLI charges.
The Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno has been defending drivers up against Hurst DL suspension for over 20 years. Therefore, you can rest confident in the fact that we know what it takes to dispute DL suspension in the Tarrant County Justice Courts. Motorists who are concerned about a Notice of Suspension mailed to them by DPS, or anxious over an upcoming DL Suspension Hearing, need not take matters into their own hands when they can instead seek professional legal counsel from Jack Byno & Associates. Our law office may also be of assistance to you if your driver's license has already been suspended, and you now seek an Occupational Driver's License (ODL). For additional information on DL suspension notices, DL suspension hearings, temporary driver's licenses or Hurst DL suspension in general, please complete a DL Suspension Contact Form or give us a call at 817-685-0912.
