If the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) sends you a Notice of Suspension via mail, you will have a specified amount of time to respond before your driver's license is in fact suspended. During this time, you may request a DL suspension hearing with DPS, which will be held in the Hill County Justice of the Peace Court, if granted to you. You may also want to consider retaining the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno during this time, as our law firm has over 20 years of experience defending against Hillsboro DL suspension. No matter the original reasons behind the imminent suspension of your driver's license, which can range from habitual traffic violations to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) convictions, our law firm may be retained to defend you in court. For more information on Hillsboro DL Suspension, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form.
If your driver's license is about to be suspended because of traffic offenses committed in the City of Hillsboro, or for other reasons including medical revocation, the Department of Public Safety will mail you a Notice of Suspension before the suspension actually occurs. You will be allowed 20 calendar days to respond to your Hillsboro DL suspension notice and request a suspension hearing with DPS. If a DL suspension hearing is granted to you, Jack Byno & Associates may also be contacted for legal representation. We may be able to defend against your DL suspension at your scheduled hearing, which will be held in the Hill County Justice Court. In past cases, our clients have not even been required to appear alongside us.
Your driver's license may be suspended if you have failed to respond to a Notice of Suspension issued to you by DPS. Even if your DL is suspended and you are now struggling to do without legal transportation, the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno may be able to acquire you a temporary driver's license. Known as an Occupational Driver's License (ODL), or Essential Need License, this temporary DL will allow you limited legal access to the places you cannot do without, such as the grocery store, school and work.
If your driver's license has been suspended because of traffic convictions accumulated in Hillsboro, Texas, and you now wish to seek an Occupational Driver's License, keep in mind that our law office may first ask you to provide us with certain information before we can apply for an ODL on your behalf. Information we may ask from you can include your driver's license number, proof that you hold valid auto insurance, and a copy of your Texas Driving Record. If our law firm is able to obtain you an ODL, please be sure to abide by any conditions and driving restrictions that may come with it. Common ODL restrictions encompass when and at what times you are allowed to drive. You may be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) if you do not carefully follow these restrictions, and ensuing penalties are not limited to court fines, extended Hillsboro DL suspension and even incarceration.
If you have questions or concerns about Hillsboro DL suspension, why not give Jack Byno & Associates a call? Our law firm has been in practice for over 20 years and has previously defended clients up against Hillsboro DL suspension in the Hill County JP Court. No matter the reason behind the possible suspension of your driver's license, which can range from habitual violations to DWI convictions, our DL defense attorneys may be able to provide you with the legal representation you need. We may be retained to defend you at your scheduled DL suspension hearing, or, if your regular DL is already suspended, to seek an Occupational Driver's License on your behalf.
