Drivers licenses are suspended every day for various reasons. These may include too many outstanding Gainesville traffic violations, drunk driving (DWI) convictions, or No Insurance Convictions on your driving record. If your driver's license is in danger of being suspended because of pending traffic offenses committed in Gainesville, Texas, you will be informed by the Texas Department of Public Safety via mailed notice. This Notice of Suspension will detail the date by which you are required to respond before your DL is suspended. If you have received a DL suspension notice, consider consulting Jack Byno & Associates. Since 1994, we have helped drivers dispute their Gainesville DL suspensions in the Cooke County Justice Court, and may be able to provide you with the legal defense you need. In the case that DL suspension has already occurred and you require a temporary driver's license, our law firm may be able to seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL). This is an Essential Need License and, if permitted to you, would allow you to legally drive to places you cannot do without. For more information on Gainesville DL Suspension, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.
Keep in mind that if you have been delivered a Notice of DL Suspension from DPS, and wish to challenge your impending Gainesville DL suspension, you have only 20 days to request a suspension hearing. Also keep in mind that the DL defense attorneys at the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno have, in the past, successfully defended Gainesville clients at their scheduled DL suspension hearings. Are you uncertain as to the reasons why your license may be suspended? If you take a close look at your driving record, or have our attorneys review it for you, you may find the answers you are seeking. There is a chance that, if we are hired to defend against the suspension of your driver's license, you will not have to appear in the Cooke County JP Court with us while we attempt to work out a deal on your behalf.
If you are a motorist worried about matters of transportation now that your driver's license has been suspended, whether because of traffic violations you have previously been issued in the City of Gainesville, or as a result of more serious crimes, such as Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), consider retaining the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. We understand that even though your license has been suspended because of prior Gainesville traffic offenses, you still need to get to certain necessary places, such as school and work. We may be able to help you by seeking on your behalf a temporary driver's license, known as an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) or an Essential Needs License. This way you may legally drive while your regular DL is still suspended. In order to seek you an ODL, we would require certain information from you beforehand, such as a copy of your driving record, your DL number and proof of valid auto insurance. If an ODL is permitted to you, you must take care to follow any and all driving restrictions bound to it. Restrictions may include certain times of the day during which you are allowed to drive. If this restrictions are not followed, you may be facing a Driving While License Invalid (DWLI), and penalties for this could include arrest, extended DL suspension and hefty court fines.
Even though your driver's license has been suspended over traffic violations or convictions accumulated in Gainesville, Texas, and even though it may seem as if you are out of options when it comes to staying behind the wheel legally, that is not necessarily the case. Attorney Jack Byno and his colleagues have been in practice for more than 20 years and may be able to help you get back on the road sooner rather than later. We know what it takes to fight Gainesville DL suspension and obtain Occupational Driver's Licenses at our clients' behest.
