DRIVERS LICENSE SUSPENSION ATTORNEY - FORT WORTH, TX

FORT WORTH DL SUSPENSION ATTORNEY

Texas Drivers Licenses are regularly suspended by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) when their holders fail to follow Texas traffic law. Sometimes driver's licenses are suspended for more unexpected reasons, such as on the recommendation of a physician. No matter the reason for your DL suspension, Jack Byno & Associates may be hired to defend against it in a court of law. If you are a resident of Fort Worth, Texas, and have been mailed a Notice of Suspension by Texas DPS, you will have 20 calendar days to respond and request a DL suspension hearing. If a hearing is scheduled for you, our law office will do its best to see that your DL is defended in the Tarrant County Justice Court, but in the case that it has already been suspended, we may still be able to seek you a temporary driver's license (ODL). DL Suspension Notice & Hearing-Fort Worth

You will know if the Texas Department of Public Safety has decided to suspend your driver's license over traffic offenses committed in Fort Worth, because you will be notified via an informational Notice of Suspension. This DL suspension notice will allott you 20 days to respond and seek a DL suspension hearing with DPS. If permitted to you, a DL suspension hearing would be held in the Tarrant County JP Court and would allow you to dispute the imminent suspension of your driver's license. If you do choose to challenge your DL suspension, also consider seeking legal defense from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. We may be able to get your DL suspension overruled, even if the original reason for it was a serious traffic charge, such as drunk driving (DWI). Sometimes, though, it is not possible for our law firm to dispute the suspension of your driver's license, as it has already been suspended by DPS. This does not necessarily mean that we can no longer be of service to you, however, as there is a chance that we could seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL), which would serve as a temporary DL for the duration of your Fort Worth DL suspension, if granted.

Fort Worth DL Suspension- ODL Sought

There are a number of possible reasons your driver's license could be suspended, from too many Fort Worth traffic violations on your driving record to driving without proof of valid car insurance. Even so, and even though DL suspension can be daunting for any motorist, there may be a way for you to continue to drive legally to work, school and other venues essential to daily life. Since 1994, the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno has sought and acquired Occupational Driver's Licenses (ODLs) for motorists with suspended DLs. An ODL, sometimes known as an Essential Need License, would act as a temporary driver's license for the duration of your Fort Worth DL suspension if granted to you.

Would you like for the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno to apply for an ODL for you? If retained for this service, we may ask you to supply us with certain information in advance. We may ask for your driver's license number, proof that you hold car insurance, and a copy of your Texas Driving Record. If granted to you, an Occupational DL would allow you to drive, but keep in mind that you may only be allowed to drive legally under certain stipulations. These ODL stipulations may encompass where you are allowed to drive, and when. Failure to follow them exactly can result in a Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) charge, which may in turn result in arrest, costly court fines and extended Fort Worth DL suspension.
