Has your driver's license been designated for suspension because of too many Denison traffic violations on your driving record, or because of medical revocation, unpaid State Surcharges, driving without car insurance or Driving While Intoxicated (DWI)? If so, you will become aware of this beforehand, as the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) will send you a Notice of Suspension via mail. If you have received a Denison DL suspension notice from DPS, it may be in your interest to contact the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. Because we have over 20 years of experience defending against DL suspension in the Grayson County Justice Court, there is a good chance that we may be able to do the same for you. If your driver's license has already been suspended, we may be able to seek you a temporary, Occupational Driver's License (ODL). For more information, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.
If the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has designated your driver's license for suspension, you will be informed beforehand via mailed Notice of Suspension. This notice will allow you 20 calendar days to request a Denison DL Suspension Hearing, which, if granted to you, will be held in the Grayson County JP Court. The attorneys at Jack Byno & Associates have been defending against Denison DL suspension for over 20 years and may be retained to defend against yours, as well. Even if your driver's license has already been suspended, and even though it may seem that you are out of options when it comes to challenging your DL suspension, our law firm may be able to obtain for you a temporary driver's license (ODL). No matter why your driver's license has been suspended, whether for minor traffic violations or major convictions (such as DWI), with an ODL you would be able to drive legally while your regular DL is suspended. In case you do not know the exact reason for the suspension of your driver's license, you may request a copy of your Texas Driving Record for more information.
Has your regular driver's license been suspended because of Denison traffic offenses added to your driving record on a prior date? Or perhaps it was suspended because you did not respond to a suspension notice you received from DPS. Even if your previous traffic violations were serious, such as in the case of a DWI conviction, Jack Byno & Associates may be able to seek an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) on your behalf. An ODL is sometimes referred to as an Essential Need License and serves as a temporary driver's license for the duration of your Denison DL suspension. With an ODL, you may continue to drive legally to school, work and other necessary locations.
If your driver's license has already been suspended, consider retaining our law office to seek an Occupational Driver's License on your behalf. Keep in mind that before we are able to apply for an ODL for you, we will need certain information, such as your DL number, a copy of your Texas Driving Record, and proof of valid auto insurance. If we are able to obtain you an Occupational Driver's License, you must be careful to follow any rules attached to it, which may include where you are allowed to drive, and at what time of the day. If you do not follow these ODL driving restrictions, and are caught, you will be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI). If you want to avoid an extended DL suspension, high court fines and arrest, DWLI should be avoided if at all possible while you hold an ODL.
