Motorists in the City of Corsicana, Texas may soon have their driver's licenses suspended if they have on their driving records drunk driving (DWI) convictions, No Insurance convictions or habitual traffic violations. Other common reasons for DL suspension include doctor recommendation and unpaid State Surcharges. You will know that your driver's license is about to be suspended, because the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) will mail you a Notice of Suspension. You will have a limited amount of time to respond to this Notice of Suspension, and to request legal defense from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. If a DL suspension hearing is granted to you, it will be scheduled to take place in the Navarro County Justice of the Peace Court, where our law firm may be able to defend against the suspension of your driver's license. In the case that a client's DL has already been suspended, we may be able to apply them for a temporary, Occupational Driver's License (ODL). If you would like additional information on Corsicana DL suspension, please take a moment to fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form.
If your driver's license is in danger of being suspended because of previous Corsicana traffic violations, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) will warn you beforehand, by sending you a Notice of Suspension in the mail. You must respond to this Notice of Suspension within the 20 days allotted to you to do so, or your DL will in fact be suspended. But you may also choose to request a DL suspension hearing with Texas DPS, if you would rather challenge the suspension of your driver's license in court. During these 20 days you have been provided to respond to DPS, you may also consider hiring Jack Byno & Associates to represent you in the Navarro County Municipal Court, if a hearing is granted to you. At your scheduled hearing, our DL defense attorneys may be able to get your looming Corsicana DL suspension overruled. For motorists already struggling to make it by on a day-to-day basis because their driver's licenses have already been suspended, there may be a chance for our law firm to seek you a temporary driver's license. You may review your driving record if you are confused as to the exact reason behind the suspension of your driver's license.
For over 20 years, Jack Byno & Associates have been seeking and acquiring Occupational Driver's Licenses (ODLs) on behalf of Corsicana clients whose regular DLs are no longer valid. If your driver's license has been suspended, for reasons ranging from too many Corsicana speeding tickets to more serious charges, such as DWI, we may be able to obtain you an ODL as well. An ODL is a temporary DL sometimes referred to as an Essential Need License, and if granted to you for the duration of your DL suspension, would allow you conditional access to the roads.
Before the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno can seek you an Occupational DL, please be aware that you may first be required to provide us with certain information in advance, such as proof that you valid car insurance, a current copy of your driving record and your DL number. If our law office is successful in its attempts to obtain you a temporary driver's license, you must be sure to abide by the ODL driving restrictions that will come with it. This restrictions may encompass when your are allowed to drive, and where, such as school, work and the grocery store. Bear in mind that Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) can result if you are caught violating these restrictions, and this charge itself may result in high court fines, an extended driver's license suspension, and sometimes even incarceration.
