If the Texas Department of Public Safety mails you a Notice of Suspension, informing you that your driver's license has been designated for suspension, you will have a limited amount of time to respond to it. While your driver's license may be suspended for a number of reasons, including too many Bridgeport, Texas traffic violations on your driving record, DWI convictions and even physician suggestion, the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno may be retained to defend against your looming DL suspension in court. Even if it is too late for our law firm to seek you an ODL, as your regular driver's license has already been suspended, there is still a chance that we may be able to obtain you a temporary DL known as an Occupational Driver's License, or Essential Need License. For more information on Bridgeport DL suspension, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form.
An informational Notice of Suspension will be sent to your Bridgeport address, through the mail, by the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) if your driver's license is in danger of being suspended. Be advised that you will have only 20 calendar days to respond to a DL suspension notice mailed to you, during which time you may decide to ask for a DL suspension hearing, which if granted to you will be held in the Wise County Justice Court. It may be in your best interest to seek legal counsel from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno if a hearing is granted to you, as our DL defense attorneys may be your best chance at protecting your driver's license from suspension. Has your driver's license already been suspended because you have lost a Bridgeport DL suspension hearing granted to you? Our law office may still be able to apply you for an Essential Need License. If you are confused as to why DPS has sent you a DL suspension notice, you may request a copy of your driving record for more insight.
No matter the actual reason behind the suspension of your driver's license, which can range from medical revocation to driving through Bridgeport without proof of car insurance, there may still be a way for you to legally drive. That is, if your driver's license has been suspended, you may still be allowed temporary access to the roads if an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) is sought on your behalf. At Jack Byno & Associates, we know that Bridgeport DL suspension does not take away your need to transport yourself to school, work and other locations necessary to daily life. Therefore, we may be retained to apply for an ODL on your behalf.
Drivers who would like for our law firm to seek an ODL on their behalf must be prepared to provide us with certain information in advance. This information man encompass your driver's license number, a copy of your Texas Driving Record, and proof that you have valid car insurance. While our law firm would do its very best to obtain you an Essential Need License, if you are granted one, we would strongly advise you to abide by the ODL driving restrictions that may come with it. ODL restrictions you may be obliged to follow can include when and where you may drive, and if a police officer finds that you are not following these restrictions, you could be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI). DWLI is serious, and associated with penalties including incarceration, extended DL suspension, and high court fines.
Have you received a Notice of Suspension from the Department of Public Safety? If so, your driver's license will be suspended within 20 days, if a DL suspension hearing is not granted to you. If you have been granted a DL suspension hearing by Texas DPS, it may be in your best interest to retain professional legal representation from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, as we may be able to successfully dispute the forthcoming suspension of your driver's license. Has your driver's license already been suspended as a result of traffic offenses committed on a prior date in the City of Bridgeport? Consider hiring our law firm to apply for a temporary driver's license (ODL) on your behalf. If you would like more information on Bridgeport DL suspension, ODLs, DPS-issued DL suspension notices or hearings, or JP Court proceedings, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form or give us a call at 817-685-0912.
