Your driver's license may be suspended for a number of possible reasons. These potential reasons include Arlington DWI convictions, unpaid State Surcharges, habitual traffic violations, driving without proof of auto insurance, and medical revocation. Keep in mind that once you have been mailed a Notice of Suspension from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), you will be permitted only a certain number of days to request a DL suspension hearing. If DPS does grant you a suspension hearing, it may be in your best interest to seek legal defense from the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno. Our DL defense attorneys have been defending against Arlington DL suspension in the Tarrant County Justice of the Peace Court for over 20 years. Has your driver's license already been suspended? If so, our law firm may be able to seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL), which would serve as a temporary DL if granted to you. For additional information on DL suspension, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form.
If the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS) sends you a Notice of Suspension in the mail, you will have only 20 calendar days to respond and request a DL suspension hearing, which if granted, will be held in the Tarrant County Justice Court. Jack Byno & Associates may be retained during these 20 days as well, if you believe that you would benefit from legal representation offered by our law firm. It does not matter to us why your driver's license has been designated for suspension in the first place, whether it be for medical reasons, drunk driving convictions, or habitual Arlington traffic violations, we may still be able to get your imminent DL suspension overruled in the JP Court. If you have lost an Arlington DL suspension hearing granted for you, or if you did not respond to a DPS Notice of Suspension before the specified date, your driver's license may already be suspended. In this case, our law office may be able to seek you an Occupational DL. For more information on the exact reason for your DL suspension, you may want to take a look at your driving record.
No matter if your driver's license has been suspended for minor traffic violations, such as too many Arlington speeding violations, or more serious offenses, such as Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or unpaid State Surcharges, you may be having a difficult time getting by without a valid DL. If you are struggling to do without a valid DL, Jack Byno & Associates may be able to seek you an Occupational Driver's License (ODL). An ODL is an Essential Need License that would allow you to drive temporarily to school, work, the doctor's office and other places you cannot do without.
Be advised that if you would like for our law firm to seek an ODL on your behalf, we would first require certain information from you beforehand. This information may include a copy of your driving record, your driver's license number, and proof that you have valid auto insurance. In the case that we are successful in our attempts to seek you an ODL, please be aware that you are required to follow any ODL restrictions that may come with your Essential Need License. Common ODL restrictions include certain times of the day during which you may drive, and a limited number of locations you may drive yourself to. You could be charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) if you do not follow these restrictions. You could then be arrested or have your Arlington DL suspension extended.
If you are mailed a Notice of Suspension by DPS, do not panic. There is a chance that Jack Byno & Associates may be able to get your Arlington DL suspension overruled in the Tarrant County Justice Court, if a hearing is granted for you. Because we have over 20 years of experience dealing with driver's license suspension in Tarrant County, rest assured that we will do our best to protect your driver's license if retained to represent you. If your DL has already been suspended as a result of traffic-related offenses committed in Arlington, Texas, consider hiring our law firm to seek an Occupational DL on your behalf. For more information on DL suspension, DL suspension notices and hearings, or temporary driver's licenses, please complete our DL Suspension Contact Form or call us at 817-685-0912.
