You may also be subjected to DL suspension if your have lost a suspension hearing or have not requested one with DPS. Even so, the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno may still be able to help you. We may be able to apply for a temporary driver's license on your behalf so that you are still able to drive legally. This temporary DL, referred to as an Occupational Driver's License (ODL), or Essential Need License, would permit you to drive to work and other essential locations.
Would you like to retain our law firm to apply for an ODL on your behalf? If so, be prepared to provide us with your driver's license number, proof that you hold valid auto insurance, a copy of your driving record and any other information we may need beforehand. If you are granted an Occupational DL, also be prepared to follow any driving restrictions that may be attached to it. These ODL driving restrictions often include the places you are permitted to drive yourself to, such as school and work, and certain times of the day during which you may drive. If you do not regard these stipulations and are caught breaking them by a law enforcement official, you may charged with Driving While License Invalid (DWLI), which can result in court fines, jail time and an extended Alvarado DL suspension.
